Gina’s background is in regional journalism, editing and copywriting and she has worked for organizations as diverse as the British Standards Institute, Intermediate Technology Publications and the Pontypridd Observer. In her thirties, she became involved with publishing a ‘holistic-lifestyle’ magazine… and it was through her interesting experiences there that she decided to train as a sports injury therapist, fitness instructor and counsellor.
She has combined her love of nature with her knowledge of functional fitness training and human motivation to develop the concept of ‘Eco-fitness’. Eco-fitness inspires people to overcome their resistance, walk properly and regularly, find motivation, make the most of nature’s resources to exercise, and move their bodies effectively whilst carrying out everyday tasks – all just as nature intended.
Gina lives in rural South Wales and loves to be surrounded by nature and animals – finding calmness and easy happiness in beautiful, natural surroundings. She is enthusiastic about natural horsemanship and horse riding, walking in the countryside, travel, emotional intelligence and the importance of family and community.
She has, during her career, worked for ‘The Journey’ HQ and experienced the benefits for the body of clearing negative emotions and blocks. She has been part of a team at a popular chiropractic clinic, helping with remedial massage, posture and counselling.
These days, Gina brings up her lovely daughter, writes, keeps fit and healthy and enjoys learning more and more about the art of horsemanship. She has a BSc Economics in psychology and sociology from the London School of Economics and qualifications in publishing (LCP), counselling, fitness training, anatomy and physiology and sports injury therapy.
